This page has two parts. Part 1 is our Terms and Conditions, which cover using our website and services. Part 2 is our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle your information. Together they're the agreement between you and MZX Solar Solutions.

Part 1: Terms and Conditions

Welcome to MZX Solar Solutions. These terms cover your use of our website and the solar consultation services we offer. By using this site or submitting your information through it, you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

We've tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we'll explain.

1. Who we are

MZX Solar Solutions ("MZX," "we," "us") is a solar consulting business based in Phoenix, Arizona, operated by Matthew Zahrt as a sole proprietor. We help homeowners figure out whether solar makes sense for their home and, if it does, connect them with a licensed installation partner.

We are not an installer, an electrical contractor, a utility, or a lender.

2. What we do

When you submit your information through our site, we:

Review your location, utility, and energy usage

Prepare a pricing and savings estimate for your home

Contact you to walk through the estimate and answer questions

If you decide to move forward, refer you to a licensed third-party installation partner who will handle design, permitting, financing paperwork, and installation

Our estimate is free. We're paid by our installation partners when a project is completed. That doesn't change the price you pay.

3. Estimates are estimates

Any pricing, production, or savings figures we give you are estimates based on the information you provide, publicly available utility rate data, and typical system performance in your area. They are not a guarantee.

Actual costs depend on a site survey, roof condition, utility requirements, equipment selection, and permitting. Actual savings depend on your future energy usage, utility rate changes, weather, net metering or buyback rules, system performance, and how long you stay in the home. We don't control any of those things.

Final pricing, system specifications, warranties, and financing terms come from the installation partner and, if applicable, the financing company, in a written agreement you sign with them. Nothing on this site or in our conversations with you should be treated as a promise about what a system will cost or save.

4. Eligibility

To use our services you must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. resident, and the owner (or an authorized representative of the owner) of the property you're asking about. If you rent, or the property is held in a trust or owned by someone else, please tell us before we start.

5. Consent to be contacted

This section matters, so please read it.

By submitting your phone number through our site, you give MZX Solar Solutions your express written consent to contact you by phone call and text message (SMS/MMS) at that number about your solar estimate and related services. This includes calls and texts sent using automated technology or prerecorded messages. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can get an estimate from us without agreeing to texts by emailing us instead at [email protected].

Message frequency varies. Typically you'll receive a confirmation text when you submit, a few messages while we prepare and review your estimate, and occasional follow-ups after that.

To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. You'll get one final confirmation and then no more texts. For help, reply HELP or email us.

To stop calls, tell us on the call or email us with your number and we'll add you to our internal do-not-call list within 10 business days.

We will not sell your phone number to third parties for their own marketing. See Part 2 (Privacy Policy) below for details on how we handle your information.

6. Your information

You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you're allowed to share it. If you upload a utility bill, you're confirming it's for a property you own or are authorized to represent.

We use your information to prepare your estimate, contact you about it, and, if you choose to proceed, share it with the installation partner and financing company handling your project. How we collect, use, store, and protect information is covered in Part 2 (Privacy Policy) below, which is part of these terms.

7. Our installation partners

Installation is performed by independent, licensed third-party companies, not by MZX. When you sign an agreement with an installer, that agreement governs the installation, equipment, warranties, and payment. MZX is not a party to that agreement and isn't responsible for the installer's work, timeline, or warranty service.

We only work with partners we've vetted, and we'll tell you who the installer is before you sign anything.

8. No professional advice

The information on this site and in our estimates is general and for planning purposes. It isn't tax, legal, financial, engineering, or electrical advice. Whether you qualify for any tax credit or incentive depends on your personal situation, and you should confirm with a tax professional. Whether your roof and electrical system can support solar is determined by the installer's site survey, not by us.

9. Website use

You may use this site for its intended purpose: learning about solar and requesting an estimate for a property you own. You may not scrape the site, submit false information, submit someone else's information without their permission, interfere with the site's operation, or use it for anything unlawful.

The MZX Solar Solutions name, logo, and site content belong to us. Don't reuse them without permission.

10. Third-party links and tools

Our site may link to or embed third-party tools (for example, utility rate data, mapping, or scheduling tools). We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and our services are provided "as is." We don't guarantee the site will always be available or error-free, and we don't guarantee that any estimate will match your final project cost or results.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MZX Solar Solutions and Matthew Zahrt aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our services, including lost savings or costs related to a solar project. If we're found liable for anything related to these terms, our total liability is limited to $100. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Part 2: Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MZX Solar Solutions ("MZX," "we," "us") collects when you use our website or request a solar estimate, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It's part of our Terms and Conditions in Part 1 above.

Short version: we collect what we need to build your estimate and follow up with you, we share it with the installer and financing company only if you decide to move forward, and we don't sell your information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request an estimate, we ask for things like:

Your name, phone number, and email address

The address of the property

Whether you own the property and what type of home it is

Your utility company and your average monthly electric bill

A copy of a recent utility bill, if you choose to upload one

Answers to questions about your roof, shading, and energy use

Anything you tell us on a call or in a text

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the ad or link that brought you here, and similar data. We use cookies and tracking pixels (including Meta's pixel) to measure our ads and understand how people use the site. You can limit cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

Prepare your pricing and savings estimate

Contact you by phone, text, or email about your estimate and next steps

Answer your questions and schedule consultations

Refer you to an installation partner and, if applicable, a financing company, when you choose to move forward

Run and measure our advertising

Keep records we're required to keep, prevent fraud, and comply with the law

Improve the site and our services

We don't use your information for anything unrelated to solar for your home without asking you first.

3. Text messages and phone calls

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you as described in Section 5 of the Terms and Conditions in Part 1 above. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and opt out of calls by telling us or emailing us.

We will not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with the service providers that help us send messages and, if you proceed with a project, with the installer and financing company handling it.

4. Who we share information with

We share your information with:

Installation partners. If you decide to move forward, we send your contact details, property information, utility bill, and estimate to the licensed installer who will handle your project. We'll tell you who that is before we do.

Financing companies. If your project involves a lease, power purchase agreement, or loan, the financing company will need your information to prepare your agreement. You'll deal with them directly and their privacy policy will apply.

Service providers. Companies that help us run the business: our CRM and messaging platform, email and phone services, website hosting, advertising platforms, scheduling tools, and similar. They can only use your information to provide services to us.

Legal and safety. If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe it's necessary to protect someone's safety, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms.

Business changes. If MZX is sold or merged into another business, your information may transfer as part of that. We'd let you know.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with data brokers or lead aggregators.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and for a reasonable period after, generally to keep records of projects we referred and to comply with our obligations to installation partners. If you ask us to delete your information (see Section 7), we will, unless we're required to keep some of it.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on our systems and encryption where it's available. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security, but we take it seriously and will let you know if a breach affects you.

7. Your choices

Opt out of texts: reply STOP to any message.

Opt out of calls: tell us on the call or email us with your number.

Opt out of marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Access, correct, or delete your information: email us at [email protected]. We'll verify it's you and respond within 30 days. We may need to keep certain records even after a deletion request.

Cookies and ad tracking: adjust your browser settings, and use the ad preferences tools offered by Meta and other platforms.

Residents of some states, including California, have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know what information we've collected and to opt out of certain sharing. If that applies to you, email us and we'll handle your request.

8. Links to other sites

Our site may link to installers, financing companies, utilities, or tools we don't control. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy doesn't cover them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know.
